Architectural bollards play an important role in enhancing the safety and navigability of commercial areas, particularly parking garages and transportation terminals. A useful tool for both keeping traffic out of restricted areas and directing traffic, bollards are a functional architectural element.

In November of 2004, Stromberg Architectural partnered with the Houston Airport to renovate the building's bollards. Using Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete, our experts were able to flawlessly match the color and texture of the original bollard material. Repairs and additions were virtually imperceptible, and the use of GFRC-a material that is both rust proof and submersible-meant the results of the renovation could reasonably be expected to last for many years.

Aside from completing seamless bollard renovations, our team of design and production specialists can also craft original bollards for commercial buildings. We can use fiber-reinforced materials to cast lightweight, strong, and weather-resistant bollards, or we can work with more traditional materials such as marble and granite. Those who choose fiber-reinforced bollards can select from a number of textures, colors, and finishes. Incorporating logos, text, or abstract designs is also an option. With our versatile materials, bollards can be ornate and functional elements that enhance commercial spaces rather than mundane, utilitarian additions. For prospective clients who want to learn more about our prices and our design process, we provide free initial consultations and estimates. We have over 150 years of combined experience, and no project is too large. For more information about bollards and our other products, contact us.
