This fireplace features an "edgy" design that entices the eye. The fireplace opening at the bottom is enclosed with pin-straight sides and topped with a gently curved arc. The two lines that surround the opening create flattering borders for the already pretty frame. The most exciting feature of this component, however, has to be the cut-out edges, which add a whole new dimension to the surround. The top component provides height and visual drama. The octagon has four sides that consist of gentle curves instead of straight lines, a simple modification that creates an entirely different look, while the embellished edges are larger versions of the ones found on the bottom of this gorgeous work.
