Column-inspired sides and a substantial top section are the highlights of this impressive fireplace by Stromberg. Flanking the generously sized fire area are protruding pieces that are fluted to resemble the shafts found on Roman Corinthian columns. Like the grand masterpieces found on architectural wonders, the column-like structures on this fireplace are graced with ornate leaf designs. The thick bases are tapered and topped with smaller pieces that are embellished with single rectangles. Resting above the side posts is an upper section composed of multiple horizontal ledges that end in a straight mantel.
